Football at Prospect oval Sat 20/7

Hi all,
Prospect Mayor David O’Loughlin has kindly given us 12 adult entry tickets for the football match this Saturday July 20 2:10pm at Prospect Oval. They allow for any children under 18 to attend for free. I am collecting the tickets tomorrow morning. Please advise ASAP if you would like tickets as I need to advise them the names of the adults attending. It includes parking permits but the parking does fill up fast so they advise arriving early or parking in nearby streets.
Let me know via text 0431705321 or email

UPDATE: Parent Committee Meeting 4th July

Please Note: Change of Date
We are overdue to catch up for a parent committee meeting. Please come along Thursday 4th July 7pm in the Rover Den at the hall. Both Cub packs and the Scouts will be at the hall this night so hopefully more people can attend.
We will have the fire going, drinks provided, bring some nibbles to share.
On the agenda:
- vacant positions on the committee: we are still seeking a Chairperson and Secretary as Kerry and Anne resigned their roles at the AGM and these positions have not been filled. Please let me know if you’re interested in one of these roles. You will have a handover and lots of support.
- Also planning for the Group Family Camp in August and
- Fundraising opportunities.
If you have anything else you want to discuss please come along or email me.

Family Group Camp

Hi all,
We have booked exclusive use of Roonka Water Activity Centre on the Murray River for the weekend August 16-18th. This camp is for all sections and there is a variety of accomodation available; bunkhouses, camping and powered sites for camper trailers/caravans.
Cubs and Scouts are expected to camp in tents and as this is a family camp we expect all youth members to attend with their family or a parent/carer.
There will be activities for all ages and we want to make this a fun time for everyone.
There will be more information re: fees and forms closer to the date but wanted to give everyone a chance to lock it away.

Facebook Group

Hi all,
I have created a private Facebook group for Gilberton Scouts.

If you have any problems connecting let me now on or add me as a friend and I will add you.

Please read and follow the guidelines for the page. Any inappropriate posts/comments or tagging of youth members will result in you being blocked from the group.

Thank you,
